Brianna "Love Of My Life" Baxter

That is literally Brianna's name in my phone and has been for awhile. It goes without saying that I was excited for her to spend the weekend with me in Provo. The Baxter's were hiking, biking, and visiting family in Utah after picking up Logan from EFY. Hooray for Brianna being able to go on adventures with me!!!

July 25th - Foreshadow for this day being sweet. Kris was out of the office so Emmy, Tanner, and I bought a gallon of Graham Canyon ice cream at the Creamery. Delicious.

After work, Brianna and I went to Chinese food with my roommates. We were going to order take-out, but there was a freak wind-rain storm going on.

Slumber Party! My giant polar bear loved it the most. ;)

July 26th - Olivia dropped us off at the Farmers Market. I bought a ton a apricots and then we walked back. The Provo City Center Temple and Nuskin building made a road block for us so we had to detour a longer way back to Regency.
Rest stop in front of Provo Library. Once we made it home we made a Chocolate bundt cake with the pan my mom sent me with the Andersens. So sweet. While the cake baked we play frisbee on the hill. Neither of us are pros. Brianna had to retrieve my awesome Captain America frisbee from the other side of the grass even though it politely asked her not to. Oops.

Bowling in the Wilk. We suck. lol Our goal for game to was redemption by doubling or tripling our score. This was just a warm up.

No joke, we both bowled strikes the first round of our second game. Proving we're really hot stuff and super stars. ;)

I had to. Look at that score!

Mission Complete! We nearly tripled our first scores.

First strikes and then number of strikes at the end of the game. lol I don't think I have ever done that well in my life. Usually Brianna is better than me. If we were playing WiiSports Bowling though, you would have to beg for mercy.

Bridal Veil Falls! Sister Baxter drove the two of us, plus Lyndsee, up the canyon to chill by the waterfall while she picked up the guys from the biking. It was gorgeous and we had fun even though we weren't getting wet.

Since we are incompitent, we climbed up the hill on the left rather than walking up the nice little path on the right. We felt pretty silly, but at least we found the way down.

Just one more friend picture on the bridge.

After we finished at Bridal Veil Falls, Brianna and I went to eat dinner at The Wall. As we waited for our scrumptious burgers we played on the touch-screen table. I killed her at the racing game, we weren't very good at the connect-the-dots, and the aliens sadly invaded earth on our shooting game.

The Sorting Hat was sitting on top of Cosmo to promote Harry Potter's birthday, only a week away.

That night Brianna and I made Monkey Bread with Olivia with a recipe we invented. It turned out beautifully. The Baxters picked up Brianna around 8am to head back to Arizona and make a pit stop in southern Utah to see grandparents. I love visitors. I can't wait till Brianna comes back to visit me and eventually lives in Provo while going to BYU with the rest of us. I started missing her just hours after they had driven away.

Pioneer Pyromaniacs

Utah: Where July 24th is Pioneer Day and Pioneer Day is a state holiday. I got this lovely little birthday off of work and spent the evening with my roommates at a neighborhood in Orem. In this paticular neighborhood, everyone seems to be obsessed with fireworks. This post is mostly just pictures I captured while we were pelted from the remains of the fireworks that surrounded us. Breathtaking. Terrifying. Utah.

My one non-firework picture has to do with the delicious slurpee machine that was making rootbeer flavored slushies. So good! (As you can tell, I don't know the difference between slurpees and slushies. Is there one?)

These guys were prepared. Don't worry, no vehicles or children were harmed in the ignition of these explosives. It came close a few times though. ;)

Evelyn and Olivia's friend at UVU (her name escapes me). Neither of them had ever done sparkles.

Driving home while jamming to music in Olivia's PT Cruiser convertible. I don't think I could have gotten two better roommates for Summer.

When You're Not Working Full Time

So behind. So so so behind on my blog. It has been driving me crazy. Now is the time I catch up on over the last month. Because trust me, things have happened. I am over a month behind because I broke my computer and waited three weeks to replace it. No computer paired with phone problems led to me abandoning electronics for awhile. I can proudly say I quit playing Candy Crush though. Addiction conquered. Now I can finally satisfy my craving to blog. Let's talk about July!

July 21st - I fully approve of this FHE activity up the canyon. Our whole ward went to a park to play laser tag games. The company we hired out with the equipment was really cool. Usually I'm not great at 007 games like this, but I only died a few times and had a blast. Just another point that my new ward is awesome. I think this was after our Kiwanis Park days, if I haven't mentioned them before.

July 24th - We take lots of walks in 101. This lovely Thursday I took my phone and my... phone. Lol this telephone handset connects to the audio jack of my iPhone. Evelyn and Olivia thought it was hilarious. I didn't get too many weird looks as talked into a vintage phone around Provo.

I love this world map a few block south of where I live. The left picture is England. The right picture is Arizona. Excited to travel back to both, someday.

Walking back home and I wanted to be artsy. It isn't exactly how I wanted it to turn out, but still cool.

Saturday with Brynna

Brynna finished her week at EFY and then hung out with me on Saturday, July 19th. First she was at Carter's football game, but then came with me to the first Provo Farmer's Market of the season. Farmers Market happens every Saturday at Pioneer Park. Since this weekend was the first, there was a carnival type party happening across the street.

Hot dog eating contest? I think the winner ate six in three minutes. Gross, yet funny. Brynna said it was on her bucket list to witness a hot dog eating contest. Check!

Found some chalk. Yay!

The Gilbert Temple: Made by Brynna with white, mini marshmallows and tooth picks. I helped a little. Doing these little activities got us tickets, which we redeemed for cotton candy.

Giant Bubbles

Running through water from a fire house.

We built a tower as big as us with the giant legos. It didn't stand up on its own though.

Brynna got to hold the puppies. Adorable.

And here we have the tickets that were exchanged for cotton candy. Success.

Olivia drove us to the farmer's market, but we walked back after singing karaoke and buying Brynna's cute cousin a bow tie. Down town Provo has some sweet murals, so we had to take pictures.

Creepy waving cat. It took me back to Stratford-upon-Avon, where they were the featured prop in Arden. *shudder*

This water fountain was flowing by itself.... Strange. Brynna and I stopped into a cute boutique too on our way home. Carter picked her up a few hours later to take her to the airport. I love visitors.
