Luis & Jay's Wedding

Saturday, August 30th

Excuse me? It's FREEZING here!!!! Since when is it below 60 in August?!?! #Idaho

Hi. We're freezing. Excited to go to the wedding though! #azgirls

The stunning Rexburg Temple.

Visiting the sister school. BYU-I is nice, but I feel so blessed to be able to attend BYU. I love my school. And it's COLD HERE!!! (Can you catch a motiff?)

Walking the lovely horticulture gardens during the temple session (and avoiding worms).

I'm an idiot.

I wouldn't mind a little more of this in Provo though.

Jaycee and Luis coming out of the temple. It rained all morning and all afternoon. Thank goodness is stopped just long enough for us to take family pictures.

Waiting for our turn to be in the group shots. The Aunts!
Theresa, Sheri, Heidi, and Mom

After the wedding Mom and I went to lunch with Heidi, Hannah, Lily, and Grandma. There aren't many places to eat in Rexburg. We decided on Wingers. The food was good, but the restaurant was busy and the service was slow. I felt bad for our server. It was his first day on the job and he was a little confused.

Shout-out to the creepy pinatas in a grocery store mom and I picked up some supplies in. Does anyone else think they are super freaky?

Reception Time! The hall they had it in was gorgeous. Good thing it was inside too; Idaho is FREEZING. Mom and I helped set up the ice cream bar as we waited for guests. The funniest part was moving a wilderness arch for the wedding line and it getting stuck in the ceiling. I'm not sure how that happened, but we are not pro movers.

What is a family function without Alexis's delicious food? She made the cake pops and cake for the reception. I had to stand guard of them for a while. Little kids were so tempted to run up and grab one before the bride and groom cut the cake.

Jay and I. She looks so beautiful. What a fab cousin. I wish I was in the States for Shelby's wedding. This was a great cousin wedding on the Codling side for my first time. Jaycee taught me how to ride a bike when I was 8-years-old. We would write letters to each other and play lots of games at family reunions. Even though we haven't been as close growing up, I'll admit she is one of my favorites. ;)

Me and Mom <3

Grandma hung out with us most of the reception. She is so funny to sit by. She also teased us how we didn't know how to use a lighter. We weren't super helpful with getting the sparklers started. One of the previous pictures is mom and I celebrating our victory of finally starting the lighter.

After the reception we went to Applebee's with a few family members and people that helped at the reception. Everyone was tired from a long day, but it was worth it. I think the wedding was near perfect. Finding Heidi and Cory's house afterward was not easy. Most of the roads weren't lit and I rarely had service. Oh Idaho.

A crazy road trip done. I can't remember why we are making sad faces in the picture on the left, but I'm sure it's because we were driving in Idaho and mom had to go home soon. The picture on the right is SO COOL! Cute little floating cloud, you are much too low to the ground.
