Actors from the London Stage

September 26th
Rachel, Alyssa, and I sat together in the Mary Lou Fulton Courtyard (aka JFSB courtyard) to watch some fellow thespians from London perform Much Ado About Nothing. Much Ado is my favorite Shakespeare play. Miranda and I were also watching a youtube series based off of the play around this time. It was by some kids in New Zealand. They called it Nothing Much To Do. I suggest it if you like modern takes on classics.

Anyways.... The show was great! Each of the actors played multiple characters on the small, blank stage. We loved Claire (Leonato/Hero/and others). She came to our acting class the day before and worked with the whole class. The games and exercises we did with her, I think, are the reason our class grew so comfortable and close so fast. She helped us create a safe family environment. We meant to send her some kind of thank you, but it still has not happened. Claire, wherever you are, know you rock and that Reese's Acting Fundamental class defined the semester for most of us.

Me, Rachel, and Alyssa.

We did have to move it inside though during intermission. It started to rain a little during the end of the third(?) act.

Brenna, Jessica, Me, Rachel, and Alyssa.
Brenna and Jessica saved us great seats when we had to move into the Pardoe for round two. The change of space did not phase the actors at all. I'm glad we had a back up theatre, rather than cancelling the show.

Me, Todd, Rachel, and Sean.
After a fun few hours with Shakespeare, Rachel and I went to a dance with Todd and Sean. It was so fun. The crowd and music were a little questionable at first, but we love dancing. We all dressed super classy for the event and got Sonic after a few hours of jamming in mess of fog and party lights. Sean saved the day by driving us to the dance since the rain was off and on all night.

P.S. It is very important to note that Laura Hawkes opened her mission call this very day! She was called to Washington Kennewick Mission to speak Spanish. Huzzah Hermana Hawks!!!
