October Conference 2014

October 4th
Guess who is on her way to General Conference?! I took the Frontrunner to Salt Lake City and met up with Laura and her new boyfriend, Drew. Salt Lake was gorgeous and treated us well. I scored three great tickets from an older man walking outside the tabernacle. Thank you kind sir!
Travel by train!

Classic Laura and Emily pose.
Plus Drew!

We found our seats and they are super awesome!!!

Conference was wonderful! We listened to the morning session earlier that day and then met up in Salt Lake for the afternoon. Afterwards, we drove back to Provo (stopping at Lehi Inn-N-Out of course). Drew went to the Priesthood session with his dad and Laura spend the night with me. I am sure I have said it before, but I LOVE that Laura lives so close to me.

October 5th
Laura left in the morning to have breakfast with Drew's family.
Miranda and I drove back up to Salt Lake for the Sunday afternoon session!

Come join the ranks.

We met up with Jackson, our FHE dad and Miranda's cousin, in Salt Lake. These tickets were from our Relief Society President. It was so exciting to go two days in a row.

Driving back from a great conclusion to conference. We may or may not have been teasing Jackson for crashing in the backseat. He was out of it before we were out of Salt Lake.

I know that the talks at this General Conference were inspired. Not only did I spend the weekend with people I love, but I was able to hear God's word to his children today. It does not matter where you sit when you listen to General Conference. It can be a car, a family, room, a church building, or The Conference Center. It matters where your heart is. I was able to feel the Spirit and better learn how to improve myself and the beautiful world we live in. Please do not turn off your ears because you are not sitting in a pew. The leaders of the Church love you. They want you to be happy and God wants you to be happy (even if things are hard right now). Never doubt that.
