October 2nd
Into October at last! Reese, my acting teacher, offered the class free tickets to see him in Damn Yankees at the Hale Center Theater in Orem. Who says no to free tickets? Miranda and I went to see the baseball show about a man who makes a deal with the devil so his team can win the pennant.
Just like back home. However, the Hale in Arizona is a little bit bigger and newer.
The show was great! I haven't seen this one before.
October 3rd
Break out time in TMA 201. Our group had our presentation on Japanese Noh Theatre and it was sick. One of the girls in our group served in Japan so she had connections to somewhat traditional costumes. We had instruments that we pretended to play to Japanese music while the guys sword-fought with fans. For those of you who are extremely cultured, it was the story of Atsumori.
It was nice going first out of the four theatre presentations. We set the bar high.
