Easter Sunday - April 19th
The string was just a little bit shorter this year....
I literally rolled right out of bed and ran to the hall closed, where I hid my Easter Basket/Package. My mom is the best. Best! I love celebrating all holidays and Easter is so fun with the string, baskets, candy, and cute spring baby animals.
Oooooooooo!!!!!! Cookie cutters, sweet tarts, yorks, jelly beans...
And a chocolate bunny! Thank you Easter Bunny and Family. I love and miss you guys. My roommates may have been a bit jealous of my commercialized Easter, but we all know it's the Resurrection that matters. I am so thankful for my Lord, and Savior, Jesus Christ. Feeling alone, worthless, and pained are so common, but we have someone that we can turn to. He knows exactly how we feel. He loves us unconditionally and always will. Living at college has helped me rely on myself. It has also taught me the importance of relying on my Savior.
Me and Marie with this lovely tree.
You have to take Easter pictures! Marie was anti-walking onto campus to take pictures with tulips, so this tree did nicely.
This moped. It never moves. I doubt it is ever ridden. This picture had to happen. I'm so proud of Marie and her style and matching outfit. This moped should be hers. She would love it and ride it everywhere. Farewell lonely moped. I hope someone starts using you.
Dying Eggs! I know for sure Joelle had never done this before, but I think a few other people hadn't done it too. I love dying eggs! It is an essential Easter craft.
My rainbow egg. So Proud.
Marie's eggs!
Why do I even try to write in white crayon? It just ends up looking ratchet. At least all the letters and numbers shows up.
The purple was freaking out. The back of my BYU egg was touched by forces not yet known to roommates. Cool, but weird.
Joelle and Melissa with some of their eggs.
Melissa and her family were kind enough to let me come a long for Easter dinner. We drove to Salt Lake with her brothers to her grandmother's house. It was a cute old house and the food was great. Everyone was so nice. Earlier in the day I was talking to my mom about how much I wished I was home eating strawberry shortcake with them. Well I wasn't home yet, but Melissa's grandma had the same dessert. It was a little tender blessing.
How cute is this!?! Everything was great; from talking to cousins to Grandma's computer problems. It is so nice being around people other than college students for a short change. Thank you McMaster family for dinner and the time!
