Blenheim Palace (Or My Future Home)

June 12th
Next Stop: Blenheim Palace. This was where Winston Churchill was born. In a palace. Crazy, right? The palace is still owned by a duke and is used in lots of different movies. What number is this? Castle number seven? I am in love.

Not going to lie, I really just had cake for lunch here. I wasn't that hungry and it was delicious.

The real question is does the duke have a son?

Churchill's family was very active in the military. There are several rooms of the palace dedicated to Churchill and his distant family that lived in the palace. The rooms document there military service and the different wars. I'm standing in a trench from WWI on the left. In the right they had old coats and uniforms from different wars to try on.

Beautiful. After the war room, Sarah and I toured the inside of the palace.

The long library and random organ in the house because, why not?

We were here for two hours, but I could have used more time. I barely saw any of the grounds and I could have watched more of the movies in the interactive tour too. Everyone was really tired from all the bus riding though so it made sense to keep going.

Writing postcards! I was tempted to keep them for myself.
Loved Stratford, but always happy to get back to London. I still had allergies though.
